Dr. Akeza Teame earned an Associate Degree of Arts from Hesston College, a BS in genetics from the University of Kansas and his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Kansas School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases (ID) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Akeza is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases (ID) in the US and licensed to practice medicine in several states in the US. He is also one of the six panel physicians in Ethiopia chosen by the CDC and the American Embassy to conduct medical evaluation for the US Embassy visa applicants. Dr. Akeza is a Medical Director of American Medical Center and co-founder of Saint Yared General Hospital and Samaritan Surgical Center.
